Scooby’s Bio:

Scooby came to NorthStar from a shelter in Chicago. We don’t know anything about where he was before he came into rescue. Scooby is a 1 year old German Shepherd Mix of love and affection. He is a super sweet boy, full of fun and a few antics. He makes his foster mom laugh a lot. He loves to play and race around the yard. His favorite toys are a ball of course and plastic bottles. He loves dinner time and is a big fan of fruits and vegetables and he wouldn’t mind an occasional treat of ice cream or yogurt.Scooby2

Scooby has had some fear of thunder and will sometimes run and hide. He and his foster Mom are working on walking on leash. Sometimes he gets afraid of things he sees but with much persistence and encouragement he gets through those scary times. Scooby has made great improvement in these areas.

He is fully house trained and does not need a crate during the day. He knows sit and is working on stay and down. He will shake if asked. Scooby currently sleeps in an open crate in the bedroom, or at the foot of the bed sometimes on the bed. He is good with other dogs, and has no reaction to cats. He can’t be bothered. He is very well behaved around children. Obedience training is a must for Scooby, he will benefit greatly with continued work on the things that his foster Mom has started. He would do well with other dogs in the household, or someone who is home most of the day. Scooby is fully vetted, micro chipped and ready for adoption.

Please fill out an application for Scooby and give him a forever home for the holidays.
