Ivy was adopted in March 2015.
Ivy is all black GSD female and is 5 months old, full of energy, and just so darn cute! She is looking for an active forever family that has previous experience with shepherds or other working breeds that will be committed to helping her grow and mature into a beautiful German Shepherd.
The ideal family for Ivy would be committed to obedience classes with her, have a home with a large fenced yard, and a larger breed brother or sister to play with. Ivy LOVES to chase the laser pointer all over the back yard with her foster GSD brother and sister. She has no problems running and playing with her 90lbs foster siblings! Ivy currently lives with two other German Shepherds, two children ages 6 & 9, and a very dog tolerant cat. Ivy will chase and play with the cat. She rides well in the car, and enjoys being taken for walks by my girls. I would recommend a family with older children, as Ivy is still learning that when her people come home, jumping up on them is not appropriate. Ivy sleeps and spends time in a crate when we are not home. She loves going into her crate for a treat.
Ivy is still working on potty training. She understands that she is supposed to go potty outside, but sometimes forgets to bark to tell us. When she does ask to go outside, she goes potty immediately. She has an occasional accident in the house. She loves belly rubs, and will roll over immediately when you bend down to pet her. She follows her foster mom everywhere. Ivy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and micro-chipped. Could you be her forever family? Fill out an application for this sweet little pup today.
