Maverick is a handsome 4 year old, male Siberian husky. Very friendly toward humans (adults and children, 5 years in age and up). Is both micro-chipped and current on vaccinations; Mav is also neutered.
He is house-broken and bell-trained when he needs to go outside. Very intelligent when given firm commands and/or with the use of a few hand signals. Maverick does, however, have separation anxiety issues. He is good while in his kennel for long periods of time, yet he doesn’t feel completely comfortable being alone outside of it.
When outside of his kennel, he is a medium to high energy dog that prefers to be running around outside while with supervision. Otherwise, when calm he usually enjoys lounging around the house near whomever or laying outside on patio deck.
Maverick needs to go to a home with no small dogs as he does tend to show dominance over other dogs and in particular, smaller breeds. Additional training may help in this area.
Maverick is a great dog and deserves a proper home, I just wish I could provide more time and space for him. As a full-time military member, I work long hours most days. Therefore, he’s spends a lot of time in his kennel. I prefer him to go to someone who is home most of the time and has a visible fenced-in yard.
NorthStar WI is assisting the current owner to re-home Maverick. If you are interested in applying for him please fill out an application.
