NorthStar WI is based in Madison, WI. We have strong experience with German Shepherds, working and herding type dogs as well as bully mixes. We also have rescued and foster many smaller breed dogs. If there is a particular breed you are looking for – send us an email and we might be able to help you.
Dogs rescued by NorthStar are taken in by area foster homes where they have are given a time to acclimate, medical checkups, spay/neutered, are brought up to date on major vaccinations and are tested for Heartworm. They are also started on obedience training which will need follow-through with the adopting families.
We adopt our dogs primarily to homes in Wisconsin and the northern suburbs of Chicago. See our FAQ and Process pages for more information.
