Pinky was adopted in September 2015. Here are some happy ending photos:
This is Pinky, a beautiful, kind and gentle Bully-Pit mixed dog. She came to NorthStar WI in October, surrendered by her owners, left at animal control, sick and tired with pneumonia and saddled with a couple of tumors. For the past six months we’ve been getting Pinky healthy as she’s had two surgeries to remove the tumors and to be spayed. She’s since fully recovered and her vet say her prognosis is very good. She’s ready to find her fur-ever family who will love and adore her like her foster family has.
Pinky is one of the most loving dogs we’ve met in rescue. Her favorite place is to snuggle up next to you. Her love of her human companions is legendary. To Pinky, strangers are just friends she hasn’t met yet. She absolutely adores humans of all shapes and sizes.
Pinky love for dogs, however, doesn’t go that far…. She does need to be the only pet in her fur-ever home. She can get along with other dogs when she’s on leash, but she’s not looking for canine friendship. Pinky admits that going for walks with them is fine, but living with them, she can’t do.
As to kitties, she sometimes likes to play with them but other times she likes to chase.
Pinky is learning lots of new obedience behaviors. She sits, stays, kennel-ups and comes with great success. She loves to go for walks and car rides. She’s a low energy dog so a few blocks a day will do her. She crates nicely, is housebroken and can be left alone with no issues.
Pinky is UTD on vaccinations, HW-negative and spayed.
Here’s another little video of her playing with a new toy!
